The Kampala launch marks the expansion of the faith-based NGO OCAKA BOSCO (also operating as Lubanga Lapit Kic) into Uganda’s capital, extending its operational base beyond Northern Uganda (Kitgum/ Gulu).
Key Highlights of the Initiative:
· Mission& Mandate: Founded by Mr. Ocaka Bosco, the charity combines faith-based outreach with social initiatives aimed at uplifting
vulnerable populations.
· Core Pillars:
· Orphan& Child Sponsorship: Education funds ,school supplies, and food support.Elderly & Widow Care: Companionship, basic aid, and health assistance.
· Youth Skills & Vocational Training: Hands-on programs including IT/computer literacy, carpentry, tailoring, and agriculture /piggery.
· Patient Care: Direct relief and emergency financial aid for patients battling chronic conditions (e.g., HIV/AIDS, cancer, diabetes).
· Cultural Preservation: Community engagement through local traditional dance and
cultural mentoring.
· Kampala Operations: Establishment of regional outreach and administrative presence in Naguru Go-Down and Nakawa Division to streamline global donor relations, volunteer networks, and fundraising campaigns.
