Youth Empowerment Through Traditional Arts: Lubanga Lapit Kic / OCAKA BOSCO
Led by Mr. Ocaka Bosco, this initiative mentors vulnerable youth, orphans, and young people across Uganda, using traditional cultural dance (such as Bwola and Larakaraka) and life skills mentorship to foster healing, teamwork, and economic self-reliance.
What This Program Delivers:
• Traditional Cultural Dance Mentorship: Preserving heritage while instilling discipline, self-worth, and unity among village youth.
• Performance Arts & Livelihoods: Equipping youth dance troupes with traditional costumes, drums, and performance opportunities to generate self-sustaining income.
• Life Skills & Peer Mentorship: Providing adolescent boys and girls with positive community alternatives, character guidance, and leadership training.
• Psycho-Social Healing: Utilizing traditional music and dance as therapeutic community rehabilitation for war-affected and vulnerable families.
Your $30.00 Contribution:
Directly funds traditional dance performance attire, rehearsal logistics, and community mentorship sessions for a group of vulnerable youth for a full month.
